How To Buy a Ninja

One of the few comics that I completed entirely in pencil before digitally “inking”, meaning I could use the originals as a gift. Only took me ages to get it finished mind you. I’m sure Jim has it hanging on his wall as a constant reminder that all who express the slightest interest in the sport should be beaten mercilessly.

I started the hobby while living out in Australia that time I was “between Universities”, as physical activity is good for you and moving back in with your parents can drive you barmy. Given I had the opportunity to try something I’d never done before, the idea of learning how to fight with swords other than those used in sport fencing was intensely appealling. It just so happened that there was a club in my area that fulfilled that exact requirment. The rest is, as they say, history.
